Payroll Administrator (Part-time) | £30,000-£35,000 pro rata | Burnley | Great team and working culture | Fantastic benefits Axon Moore are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly valued client in Burnley as they recruit for an experienced Payroll specialist on a part-time basis. This is a flexible and accommodating role which can be completed over 2 or 3 days per week in the office. This role will be well suited to experienced payroll administrators who are seeking to achieve a more favourable work/life balance.Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Collating monthly payroll data for circa 250 staff
* Resolving internal/external queries
* Reconciling payroll entries
* Ensure compliance with statutory benchmarks
* Calculating maternity/paternity pay
* Processing new starters and staff departures
* Administration of company benefits, overtime, commissions, etc.
* Maintenance of accurate employee records
* Reporting of pension data to scheme advisors
* Other ad-hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:
* At least 2 years’ payroll experience
* Able to efficiently manage and organise their workload
* Microsoft Excel and Sage proficient
* Professionalism and confidentiality
* Keeping up to date with payroll practices and legislation
* A good understanding of PAYE, NI, RTI SMP, SSP and other HMRC statutory regulations
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Proactive and self-motivated in nature
* Able to work efficiently towards deadlines
