Early Years Manager - Summer - Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 08:00-18:00, Monday - Friday. (Total hours will not exceed 47.5 hours per week)
Salary: £580.24 - £718.65 per week, depending on age, experience, qualifications, and camp size
(Contracts for February Half Term will be issued at 2023 wage levels. 2024 wage levels will be effective from 1st April.)
Reportable to: Camp Manager, Area Manager, and Central Office

EARLY YEARS MANAGER DUTIES
* Support and deliver induction training and oversee setup days before camp starts
* Complete paperwork and conduct high-risk activities following Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice
* Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment
* Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage by planning explore and play sessions
* Designated Person (DP) for safeguarding, handling child protection issues
* Update and communicate regularly with Area Managers and Central Office
* Observe children and participate in high-risk activities with staff
* Regularly check staff understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Serve as the main contact for OFSTED inspectors during camp
* Communicate with parents, handle administration, and manage staff
* Maintain tidiness of site and baserooms, and ensure equipment is stored properly
* Assess and review staff performance at season end
* Support staff during sessions as needed
REQUIREMENTS
* Attend compulsory senior training events
* Qualified in Early Years (Primary qualification, CACHE Level 3, PGCE, BA Primary Education)
* Experience working in a childcare setting
* Legal eligibility to work in the UK
* Obtain or hold an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or the Update Service
* Provide satisfactory references
* Attend and deliver induction training prior to camp
* Complete annual online training
* Coordinate camp pack-up at the end of the season
* Minimum of 1-2 seniors trained in Paediatric First Aid, depending on camp size
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently
* Proactively address safety concerns
* Prepare for induction training using relevant manuals
* Complete staff evaluations at contract end
* Report child protection concerns appropriately
* Manage children with additional needs, medical or dietary
* Administer medication following EI forms and document properly
* Bring swimwear daily for swimming sessions
