The opportunity
A PE backed tech enabled services company is seeking a proven PE CFO with demonstrable commercial finance experience. They are a data-rich business predominantly selling D2C and require a CFO who can evolve their pricing strategy and provide more insightful analysis of unit economics. The CFO will be a key business partner the wider exec team helping to drive revenue growth through increased sales and M&A.
Since receiving investment, the company has achieved excellent growth with revenues now circa £40 million and an EBIDTA of £7 million. There are further acquisitions in the pipeline and the incoming CFO will need to position the business for an exit in the next 2 years.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and enhance shareholder value.
* Provide strategic guidance and financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital investments.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
* Lead the finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively.
* Collaborate closely with other members of the executive team to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve business objectives.
* Monitor and assess financial performance against key metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Qualfied Accountant – ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent
* Extensive experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
* Strong understanding of M&A processes, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
* Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Experience working with PE-backed companies or familiarity with the PE investment process is a plus.
