People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tipton, West Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine prospects for progression.
Shifts: • Monday to Friday • Start time: 19:00 • Minimum of 8 hours paid per shift
Rates of Pay: • £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties: • Operate and drive HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently • Work primarily on double decker trailers • Complete deliveries and collections as required • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened • Adhere to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues to management • Assist with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills: • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six points for minor offences (no major endorsements) • Good level of written and spoken English • Excellent punctuality and time management • Good understanding of UK road transport regulations • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience: • Previous experience driving double decker trailers • Commercial vehicle driving experience in similar roles
Training Provided: • Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout employment
