The Role
To provide patient focused quality pharmaceutical care and to assure an efficient and timely supply of pharmaceutical advice and medication within secondary care setting. To assist in the delivery of pharmacotherapy and prescribing support within a Locality in primary care setting.
Location: University Hospital Wishaw. Working pattern: days. This role is based in the Pharmacy Department within University Hospital Wishaw.
Responsibilities
* Provide patient focused quality pharmaceutical care and ensure timely supply of pharmaceutical advice and medications.
* Assist in the delivery of pharmacotherapy and prescribing support within the locality in primary care settings.
* Participate in weekends and public holiday service as required.
* Participate in pharmacy emergency duty when needed.
* Contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department.
What we’ll need you to bring
* Masters of Pharmacy Degree
* Registered member of General Pharmaceutical Council
* Independent Prescribing qualification or undertakes to complete within reasonable timescale
* Ability to work under pressure
* Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload
* Experience in patient information/education
* Ability to effectively monitor patients’ therapeutic regimens to ensure effectiveness and reduce toxicity
* Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
* Commitment to revalidation as per the directions of General Pharmaceutical Council
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Self motivation
* Good interpersonal skills
* Demonstrate customer awareness/focus
* Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department
