About the RoleA leading organisation within the manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Engineer to support its facilities and maintenance operations at a large industrial site in Hull. This position involves a blend of planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive/ad‑hoc electrical work, ensuring the site remains safe,pliant, and fully operational. The role suits a self-sufficient engineerfortable working within a busy production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
1. Carry out routine electrical maintenance activities on site.
2. Ensure all PPMs arepleted within agreed timeframes and to regulatory standards.
3. Maintain accurate documentation and update maintenance systems as required.
Reactive & Ad-Hoc Electrical Works
4. Respond to breakdowns, faults, and service calls across the facility.
5. Conduct electrical diagnostics, repairs, and replacements.
6. Support minor installation work and general site improvements.
7. Work in alignment with strict health and safety processes.
8. Ensure all electrical work ispliant with legislation and site requirements.
9. Maintain clear and accurate records for audit andpliance purposes.
10. Work closely with on-site maintenance teams and operational staff.
11. Provide clear updates on job status, outstanding issues, and rmendations.
12. Ensure strongmunication across engineering and site teams.
Skills & Experience Required
13. Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition).
14. Background in engineering within manufacturing, production, or industrial FMCG environments.
15. Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and electrical maintenance capabilities.
16. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
17. Experience working with PPM schedules and maintenance systems (desirable).
