Rate of Pay: £16.39 - £21.43 per hour
Summary:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in a multi-faceted team dedicated to providing outcome-based care for adults in a residential setting. Your primary goal is to enable service users to maintain or improve their daily living skills while fostering independence. You will act as a bridge between the Service Manager and the support staff, ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly and that the highest standards of care and safety are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Manager in the daily operation of the residential service, taking accountability for designated administrative and operational tasks.
* Design and implement person-centered care plans that encourage service users to achieve specific life goals and improve their quality of life.
* Maintain a consistent, caring relationship with service users who have varied mental and physical needs, assisting with daily living tasks and emotional support.
* Act as a professional point of contact for members of the public, families, and healthcare professionals, maintaining clear and fluent communication in English.
Qualification
* A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) or an equivalent relevant qualification is highly desirable.
Essentials:
* Proven experience working with adults with mental health needs, physical disabilities, or learning difficulties in a care setting.
* Experience in a senior or "lead" role, including supervising staff or managing specific areas of service delivery.
* Proficiency in maintaining accurate digital records, incident reporting, and following health and safety protocols.
