Job Title: PMO Manager

Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract – 6 to 12 Months
We are supporting a highly regarded London-based law firm in the search for an experienced PMO Manager to join their transformation and change function on a fixed-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven PMO professional with prior experience within the legal sector or wider professional services environment to play a key role in driving governance, portfolio oversight, reporting, and delivery assurance across a broad change portfolio.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions to ensure strategic initiatives are effectively governed, prioritised, and delivered.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
* Lead and manage PMO activities across a portfolio of strategic business and technology change initiatives
* Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, reporting standards, RAID management, and portfolio controls
* Produce high-quality portfolio reporting and insights for senior leadership and steering committees
* Support portfolio prioritisation, investment planning, and resource management activities
* Drive consistency in project delivery methodologies, processes, and documentation
* Work closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes
* Monitor project financials, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery performance
* Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and senior stakeholder meetings
* Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, tooling, and reporting capability
* Ensure change initiatives align with wider business objectives and regulatory requirements
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Proven experience operating as a PMO Manager, Portfolio Manager, or Senior PMO Lead
* Previous experience working within a law firm or professional services environment is essential
* Strong understanding of portfolio governance, project lifecycle management, and PMO best practices
* Experience supporting complex business and technology transformation programmes
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
* Strong reporting, planning, financial tracking, and risk management capability
* Experience working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
* Advanced knowledge of PMO tooling and reporting platforms such as MS Project, Power BI, SharePoint, Jira, or similar
* Prince2, MSP, MoP, P3O, or Agile certifications
* Experience establishing or improving PMO frameworks and governance models
* Exposure to regulatory, compliance, or operational change within legal services
