ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, ensuring it is ethically sourced and recommending recipes to customers. You'll embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - and build lasting relationships with customers, enhancing their experience with the Waitrose brand, fostering trust and loyalty, and supporting sales and profit growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take responsibility for your food counter, maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
2. Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
3. Handle open food with care, following all health & safety protocols and helping to reduce food wastage.
4. Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
5. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Effective communication skills to work well with team members and customers.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality.
* Interest in current food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch.

* Pay: £12.40 hourly
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Hours: 13.75 hours/week, varied across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends
