ABOUT THE ROLE
Initial Projects:
1. Angel
2. Highgate
3. Wembley
4. Tooting
5. Oxford
6. Chelmsford
7. Brentwood
8. Bow
I am looking for Project Managers capable of overseeing RC frame and groundwork packages on new residential, commercial, or industrial projects in all of the locations above. These packages range from £5m to £40m, so experience needs to reflect the capability of delivering RC frame, groundwork, or basement packages of this size.
I can only consider Project Managers from an engineering background who have worked predominantly for reinforced concrete frame & groundwork subcontractors in the UK.
As the Project Manager, you will be expected to manage the complete concrete frame construction with all the associated groundworks and foundations. You’ll be supported by an on-site foreman and engineering team, but it will be your responsibility to keep the project to programme while maintaining safety on site and controlling the budget. This is a client-facing role with paperwork duties, so technically minded managers are required who have a proven background seeing these packages through from planning stages through to completion.
REQUIREMENTS
I am looking for individuals who are degree-qualified in civil engineering and have already progressed through the ranks to the project management level. You may have recently stepped up to this level or may have been doing it for a number of years, but it is crucial you have come from this background and have gained this technical management experience while working in the subcontract concrete frame and groundwork sector.
In addition to the above, I am looking for individuals who are keen to be involved with the bigger picture. Due to the nature of this sector, you’ll have a direct working relationship with all the business unit heads and you’ll all be working together towards the future of the business (i.e. strengthening client relationships even further on every project you are involved with).
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
Packages are always based on an individual’s background and experience level but as a rough guide, I am looking to consider anyone looking to earn anywhere from £80,000 to £110,000 per annum OR on a day rate £350 to £450 per day.
This can be broken down in a number of ways and this business is open to people on a PAYE or self-employed/limited company basis. Bonuses are paid to those who exceed basic expectations and benefits include travel/car allowances and pension.
