Hours: 35hrs per week. Hours are generally 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but there is an expectation for evening and weekend working where necessary.
Contract type:
2. Permanent
Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £19.88 per hour.
Location:
3. City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview, an element of hybrid working will also be in place.
What you’ll do
As a Libraries and Communities Officer you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Libraries and Communities Coordinator. You’ll play an essential role in supporting the operational management of the Glasgow’s community centre estate, comprising of 17 community centres and a number of centres operated by the 3rd Sector. In the role, you will be supporting Community Services Supervisors responsible for operationally managing venues within a geographical area, ensuring that buildings and services meet the needs of local communities and service users and are managed as efficiently, safely and cost effectively as possible. You will focus on operational venue management ensuring compliance and efficiencies are met alongside working with the public and partners to provide a wide variety of services and activities from within the venues.
