A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Hire Controller to join a busy, high-performing depot team based in Manchester.
💼 What you’ll be doing:
* Handling incoming calls, responding to enquiries, and resolving customer needs efficiently.
* Creating quotes for equipment hire and following up with customers to convert enquiries into bookings.
* Coordinating with depots and teams for plant allocation and scheduling.
* Raising cross-hire orders and liaising with accounts to set up new customer accounts.
* Generating job paperwork including delivery and off-hire notes.
* Ensuring all enquiries are logged, followed up, and escalated when necessary.
* Supporting compliance with quality and environmental standards.
🛠 What you’ll bring:
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Confident telephone manner and a proactive approach.
* Previous experience in telesales, customer service or hire/rental coordination.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
* Quick to learn internal systems and processes.
