Functional Consultant - HR role at Ricoh Europe
Ricoh is recruiting for a Functional Consultant – HR based in Watford, part of the HR workstream in the IT Business Relationship Management & Solution Design team. This role combines functional and technical skills, enabling you to analyse HR business processes, design and implement key HR IT projects, and serve as a key IT point of contact for Ricoh HR teams. Travel across Europe may be required.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership for the impacts of the projects aligned to the role – ensuring project objectives for design, implementation, data migration and testing are met.
* Gather and analyse business requirements, bridging the gap between HR functional teams and technical stakeholders to produce clear documentation and functional designs.
* Communicate with senior management and SMEs to understand system and process requirements, working with implementation partners to identify optimal solutions.
* Work as part of a cross‑workstream scrum team, delivering solution design, functional design, build, testing approach, operational transition, post go‑live support.
* Own documentation of system configuration, design and processes for project areas, and ensure training documentation is accurate and up to date.
* Lead internal up‑skilling sessions with IT Application Engineering teams to support business tickets.
* Own documentation of data migration processes, monitor and review the migration team to ensure adherence and resolve issues.
* Support testing and implementation of application changes to achieve business realisations.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities, document and seek senior management approval, coordinating with partner teams to deliver.
* Stakeholder Management – act as liaison between HR, IT and partners to ensure smooth project delivery and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Proven background and experience working in an IT/systems HR role; experience within a business HR function is an advantage.
* implementing HR platforms such as SuccessFactors for multi‑national organisations.
* Strong knowledge of HR processes and capabilities, with ability to analyse data quickly and recommend options backed by logic.
* Understanding of HR localisation regulatory requirements in European countries.
* A demonstrated commitment to delivering results with determination, purpose and resourcefulness.
* Experience with HR applications (SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, ADP) and workflow tools (ServiceNow, SharePoint) is highly advantageous.
* Demonstrated project management capability, including Agile methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills across technical and non‑technical functions and cultures; fluency in English required, other languages (French, Spanish, German) highly useful.
