Our family of iconic brands offer you the chance to open career-changing doors and our 9-week Summer Internship Programme places you right at the heart of life as a people professional. At Centrica, we have a people team like no other. This summer placement offers you the opportunity to gain experience in a people-related role, such as Employee Relations, Reward, Performance & Talent or Business Partnering.
During your placement, you will make a meaningful contribution to a key people-related activity or project, whilst building valuable business, stakeholder, and organisation skills. You will have the opportunity to get involved in fundraising activities throughout the summer and participate in training with our Emerging Talent team. To ensure you have the best experience, all interns will be paired with current graduates as buddies, who will share their insights and experiences. Additionally, you will have a specialised Placement Intern Manager alongside your Line Manager to oversee your progress and help you gain valuable exposure to the People Team.
Centrica operates a Flexible First approach which means giving colleagues the flexibility they need to carry out their role in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. While we work in a hybrid manner - from the office and at home - we believe that having face time at work is incredibly important for growth and development. You'll work flexibly throughout the programme, with your main office location being London/Berkshire.

If required, able to travel and stay away from home during your placement - flexibility is key to making the most of your experience!

Available to start the scheme from 16th June 2026 to 30th July 2027.
Here's what's in it for you You'll be paid a salary of £24,000 (pro rata)
You'll receive a £2,000 Welcome Bonus with your first salary.
