Security Operations Support

Carbon60 are supporting a major UK aerospace and engineering organisation with the hire of a Security Operations Support professional to join their site-based security function in Filton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a security, facilities, or project support professional to work within a high‑security, regulated environment, supporting physical security, systems, fire safety and emergency planning activities.

Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Rate:£28.00 per hour Umbrella / £20.93 per hour PAYE
Hours: 35 hours per week (overtime paid at standard rate)
IR35: Inside IR35
Security Clearance: BPSS to start, must go through SC to continueThe Role
Reporting into senior site security leadership, you will provide operational and administrative support across physical security, security systems and fire safety. The role has a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, compliance, risk management and project coordination within a large industrial site.
You'll work closely with internal teams and third‑party suppliers to ensure security activities align with policy, risk frameworks and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support delivery of site security operations in line with policies and frameworks
Assist with management and performance of security, systems and fire service suppliers
Support security risk management, issue tracking and reporting
Assist with emergency response planning and implementation
Provide security and fire input into projects and site activities
Coordinate security and safety investigations
Act as a point of contact for security systems issues
Support audits and supplier compliance checks
Produce reports and support continuous improvement initiatives
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across the siteSkills & Experience Required
Experience within a corporate, industrial or regulated security environment
Level 5 or similar operational qualification in Security management or equivalent experience
Understanding of security risk management principles
Strong organisational and communication skills
Stakeholder management experience
Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and suppliers
Confident using Microsoft/Google productivity tools
Interest in security, aerospace or engineering environments
Complementary skills in risk management and emergency planningDesirable
Experience managing third‑party contractors
Project coordination or project management experience (e.g. PRINCE2)
Background in emergency planning or fire safety environmentsWorking Pattern
Full‑time on site initially
Once established, 4 days on site / 1 day remote may be possible
