Job Title: Lecturer - Fresh Start
Location: King's Lynn / Wisbech
Hours: 22.5 per week (0.6 FTE)
Salary: £18,112 - £22,841 per annum
Job Description:
Our Fresh Start programme creates a supportive and positive learning environment aimed at developing study skills, raising attainment, and boosting self-confidence for learners. We support learners towards City & Guilds qualifications through 7-week blocks of lessons, with progression opportunities throughout the year from Entry Level to Level 2. The programme helps develop valuable life, communication, study, and employability skills alongside English and maths qualifications.
The team collaborates across CWA to provide employability skills and personal development support, helping learners progress to further study or employment. This role offers a chance to make a significant difference to young people who have faced educational challenges.
We support work-life balance and flexible working arrangements, including job sharing. Salary placement depends on experience and qualifications; appointments at or above point 10 (£32,384) typically require a Level 5 teaching qualification and relevant experience.
We are a community-focused FE College in East England, with a growing Creative Arts, Foundation, and Engagement department. We offer excellent training, a supportive team environment, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 37 days annual leave, college closure days, bank holidays (pro-rata), fee waivers, a pension scheme with the Teachers' Pension Scheme (employer contribution 23.68%), staff discounts, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
