Could your financial and strategic expertise help tackle inequality across West Yorkshire?
TSL Kirklees, an established infrastructure charity with around 20 dedicated staff, is seeking a Finance & Resources Director to join our Senior Leadership Team. This pivotal role will shape the long-term financial and operational future of our work supporting and empowering communities in Kirklees.
About the role
As Finance & Resources Director, you will:
* Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies and business plans.
* Oversee Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Risk, and Information Governance functions.
* Provide strong strategic direction alongside the CEO and Board of Trustees.
* Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and reporting obligations.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and empowerment across the organisation.
* Support, mentor, and develop your team, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to deliver.
This is a new senior leadership role requiring a balance of strategic vision and hands-on oversight. You will play a key part in ensuring resources are used effectively, risks are well managed, and colleagues and trustees are supported with high-quality insight and advice.
You will also have leadership responsibility for supporting, managing, and developing TSL Kirklee's core functions. This will involve building strong relationships with management colleagues, delivery teams, and the trustee Board, as well as reaching out to key strategic partners across Kirklees and the wider region. Together, we'll strengthen our sustainability by building robust systems and practices that support long-term impact.
About you

* Expertise in financial planning, modelling, and business strategy.
* Excellent leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills.
* A collaborative, values-driven approach with a clear commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* A relevant finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
Knowledge of the VCSE sector and experience of securing funding through tenders or bids would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills from other sectors who are passionate about tackling inequality.
Why join us?
* Work at the heart of a charity committed to supporting communities and addressing inequality.
* Be part of a small, dedicated, and supportive team with a big impact.
* Shape the future of our organisation's financial and operational strategy.
* Benefit from flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
