Morden College, an almshouse and charity with a proud history of providing homes, support, and care for older people in need for over 300 years. We run almshouse accommodation at Blackheath and Beckenham, enabling residents to live as independently, safely, and meaningfully as possible in a community where every person feels known, valued, and supported.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all operational properties are safe, compliant, and well maintained.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, contractor performance, and statutory compliance.
* Lead refurbishment projects (typically up to £250k) from specification through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
* Report to the Director of Property and contribute to senior leadership activities, influencing operational property strategy.
* Support wider estate improvement initiatives and help deliver outstanding environments for residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
* Proven track record in a senior property or estates management role.
* Customer‑centric operating style with a continued drive to improve operating standards.
* Experience developing a value‑driven partnership approach to contractor management.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage both historic and modern facilities.
