The role
As an Ecology Advisor, you will implement the environmental elements of the Babcock Rail compliance management system, including policies, risk assessments, procedures, and guidance notes. You will communicate these to internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities include:
* Providing specialist advice on sustainability and environmental legislative and contractual compliance.
* Managing the project’s Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Environmental Risk Profile, and Aspects and Impact register.
* Developing a project-specific Environment and Sustainability Threats and Opportunities profile.
* Implementing and continuously improving the Babcock Rail compliance management system to ISO standards.
This full-time role involves 35 hours per week, based on-site at Cadder Yard, Glasgow, with travel to other sites required.
Essential experience
* Knowledge of Ecology or Environmental Advisory.
* Willingness to travel and a full UK driving license.
Qualifications
* An Environmental or Ecology qualification is required.
