Thisclientfacingroleis accountableacrossa portfolio ofFNZ Clientsfor the ownership and delivery of the overarchingTest strategy and Test Approach aswell as ensuring consistent and productiveQA/Testing Process and Proceduresfor each project.
ThePortfolioTest Manger will be responsible forleading theProject Test Managers/Leads,test risks, issues, timelines and quality as well as providing oversight of allFNZ and Clienttestingacross a portfolio of projects.
Workingfromwithin theTesting Practice,this rolewouldalsowork closely with theHead of Testing, ProjectManagement, Delivery Management, Infrastructure and Release Management functions across multiple projects to ensure on time quality delivery in compliance withtheFNZ SDLC.
Specific Role Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
1. Stakeholder management and ensuring overall client satisfaction across all projects/areas coveredwithin the Portfolio.
2. Working directly withFNZclients, managing client issues andconcernsandeffectively dealing with escalations.
3. Providing progress updates to key stakeholderson portfolio delivery, resource performance,KPIsand continuous improvementprogress.
4. Work with;Head of Testing,Testing Practice,Project Managers, Delivery Managers and Test Leadson resourcing, risks, issues, timelinesand haveoversight of all the testing.
5. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders around testing and quality and drive improvementsthrough the Testing Practiceinternally and externally.
Delivery Management
6. Take ownership of the test estimation Process and deliver estimates as per the defined SDLC.
7. Ownership of overarchingTest strategies and Test Approach fortheProject Portfolio.
8. Ensuring QA/Testing Process and Procedures are followed across each project and team.
9. Compliance with the Testing Framework, including standards, processes, tools, test plans,casesand templates across projects.
10. Engage with clients toagreeQA engagement model and test strategy.
11. Ensure that testing artefacts required to support contracted end-client deliverables are producedin accordance withagreed plans.
QualityManagement
12. Effective and regular communication internally and externally.
13. Test deliverables to be on time and to quality targets defined.
14. Work tocontinuously improve the testing and quality practicesalready in place to achieve a greaterend result.
15. Working with theTesting Practicetoidentifyand roll outtestprocess improvement initiativesacross thewiderdeliveryportfolio.
16. Take ownership of Test Quality Gateways, ensure and measure ongoing compliance.
Governance & Control
17. Test governance to be managed via agreed metrics driven reporting.
18. Timely reporting toDelivery Management/Head of Testingonportfolio/projectprogressagainstplans.
19. Testing Quality metrics ownership and reporting.
20. Ownership of Quality and productivity uplift.
21. Risk and Issues management withinthe portfolio.
22. Escalation to Project Team/Manager/Testing Practiceon Risk and Issues thatimpactupon Test Plan delivery.
23. Management of Changeto the Change Management process.
24. Ensure that test environments are bookedin a timely mannerby liaising with theappropriate groupsacross IT.
25. Sign off entry and exit criteria for all test phases.
26. Oversight and approval ofProjectTest Exit Reports.
Team Management
27. Matrix management ofproject Test Managers/AT Leads
28. Management,reviewand induction of new team members.
29. Manage resource planning forportfolio,escalating asrequired
30. Provide coaching and training toTest Managers/AT Leadsto uplift capability and productivity.
31. Mentor Team members in QA Best Practice,Toolsandtrainingacross projects.
Experience required:
32. Career test professional with strong background in Financial Services
33. Extensive experience of working in client facing test delivery/engagement roles
34. Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
