HGV Technician - Late Shifts needed in Croydon, Surrey

As a Late Shift HGV Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of commercial vehicles, including DAF trucks and components. Working during the late shift, your expertise will ensure the fleet remains reliable and compliant, while supporting less experienced colleagues and upholding quality standards. This HGV Technician role offers an excellent chance to earn an impressive OTE of £50,000 with overtime and bonuses, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Skills for the HGV Technician Role:
1. Proven experience as an HGV Technician, with strong diagnostic and repair capabilities
2. Ability to independently diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and select appropriate repair techniques
3. Extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair on trucks and vehicle components
4. Familiarity with MOT procedures, tachograph checks, and vehicle inspections
5. Possession of a full UK driving licence (HGV preferred but not essential)
6. Own tools and a proactive, responsible attitude toward vehicle repair and maintenance
Nice to Have Skills:
7. Experience working as a Mobile HGV Technician or LCV Technician
8. Additional qualifications or experience in related vehicle types or advanced diagnostics
Preferred Education and Experience:
9. Completed secondary vocational education or equivalent technical training
10. Significant hands-on experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs
Other Requirements:
11. Flexibility to work the late shift hours from Monday to Friday (13:30 - 22:00) and alternate Saturdays (06:00 - 14:30), paid as overtime
12. A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
