Role Description
Allianz is currently seeking a Senior Risk, Governance and Sustainability Consultant to support the Head of Risk, Governance and Sustainability in providing reasonable assurance to senior management that pricing processes and procedures are operating effectively and in line with our ambition to build a best‑in‑class Pricing and Underwriting function. The role operates dynamically and at pace, while respecting risk appetite and relevant regulatory requirements.
Work is on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of two days per month in the office. Candidates may be based in any of our Pricing or Underwriting offices in Birmingham, London or Bournemouth.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £45,000 per year, based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
Your role will vary day to day and will focus on four areas: Risk, Governance, Regulation and Sustainability.
Risk
* Promote, continuously enhance and embed the Pricing and Underwriting Risk Management Framework and ensure it adequately and effectively controls all risks within Pricing.
* Work closely with Pricing and Underwriting colleagues and other areas of the business to report on risks and controls.
* Ensure risk incidents are captured, logged and regularly reviewed so that common root causes are identified and effective controls implemented.
Governance
* Ensure appropriate governance is up-to-date and appropriate (e.g., meeting TORs, Portfolio Strategies, Confluence pages).
* Test, manage and embed Pricing and Underwriting governance across all lines of business.
* Manage functional rule attestation and audit actions.
Regulation
* Ensure that output from third parties (regulator, external consultancy review), internal audit or guidance regarding Pricing and Underwriting Governance and Risk or customer conduct is fully considered and implemented within good time.
* Ensure the department is adhering to its Pricing Principles and Pricing Strategy in matters concerning regulatory and/or customer outcomes.
Sustainability
* Promote, continuously enhance and embed pricing and underwriting initiatives in line with the Sustainability Strategy.
* Ensure delivery and accuracy of regular sustainability reporting, including CSRD and other regulatory reporting requirements.
* Support delivery of the Pricing and Underwriting strategy to reduce emissions across the portfolios.
* Support the development of Sustainable Solutions across the AZP Portfolio.
Essential Skills
* Experience of General Insurance Pricing and/or Underwriting.
* Understanding of Sustainability in General Insurance.
* Understanding of relevant UK regulatory requirements.
* Understanding of the risk management cycle.
* Understanding of corporate sustainability, ESG initiatives and environmental impacts.
* Attention to detail.
* Inquisitive mind.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence and motivate Pricing teams.
