As Training Supervisor youll handle thelearning and professional development of an
organisationsworkforce. Its your job to equip staff with the knowledge practicalskills and
motivation to carry out their work activitieseffectively.

Responsibilities:
Youwill need to:
identify training and developmentneeds within an organisation through jobanalysis
appraisal schemes and regular consultation withbusiness managers and human
resourcesdepartments;
design and expand training and developmentprogrammes based on the needs of the
organisation and theindividual;
work in a team to produce programmesthat are satisfactory to all relevant parties in
anorganisation such as line managers and senior managers;
consider the costs of planned programmes and keep withinbudgets;
plan and assess the return on investment of anytraining or development
programme;
developeffective induction programmes for new staff apprentices andgraduate
trainees;
monitor and review theprogress of trainees through questionnaires anddiscussions
with managers;
devise individuallearning plans;
conduct appraisals;
producetraining materials for inhouse courses;
create and/ordeliver a range of elearning packages;
manage thedelivery of training and development programmes;
ensurethat statutory training requirements are met;
evaluatetraining and development programmes;
amend and reviseprogrammes as necessary in order to adapt to changesoccurring
in the work environment;
help linemanagers and trainers solve specific training problems either on aonetoone basis or in groups;
keep up to date withdevelopments in training by reading relevant journals goingto
meetings and attending relevant courses;
research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learningand present
thisresearch.
Knowledge &Experience:
3 years experience ofworking in the materials testing environment
Understandsdemands of 17025 accredited laboratory.
TechnicalUnderstanding of construction testing overseen withinrole.
