Innovation Project Manager - CoalvilleJob Type: Full timeIn a Nutshell…We have an exciting opportunity for an Innovation Project Manager within the Innovation at Vistry Services based in our Coalville office, covering numerous sites across the Group and working closely with Vistry Works. As our Innovation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall running of groundbreaking innovation projects on numerous sites, with an emphasis being placed on the planning and programming of works and high-level issues that do not fall within the day-day running of the sites.You will help with the ensuring the innovation trials and pilot schemes run smoothly from set up to completion. You will assist in scheduling labour/materials and ensure these are apportioned to the appropriate sites correctly. You will be responsible for ensuring programming is undertaken in a way that minimises any delays/disruptions and allows operations to run efficiently.We value in-person collaboration and team culture, but we’re also committed to supporting flexible working where possible. We encourage you to raise any specific requirements during the interview process so we can explore how this could be accommodated.Let’s cut to the chase, what’s in it for you…Competitive basic salary and annual bonusCompany car, car allowance or travel allowanceSalary sacrifice car scheme available to all employeesUp to 33 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to up to 39 days with service2 Volunteering days per annumPrivate medical insurance, with employee paid coverEnhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leaveCompetitive pension scheme through salary sacrificeLife assurance at 4 x your annual salaryShare save and share incentive schemesEmployee rewards portal with many more benefits…In return, what we would like from you…Behave in line with our company values – Integrity, Caring and QualityExperience operating on large volume, fast paced developments within the new build housing sectorProven track record of planning/programming timber frame/ MMC construction, including innovation trials and pilot schemes.History of working within or closely alongside production/construction departmentsA good working knowledge and experience of Timber Frame/MMC constructionAn ability to use written and verbal forms of communication effectively with all stakeholders and to keep people engaged and updated throughout the build process and at key times.Good level of IT skills and proficient in numerous packages such as MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word, Coins and AstaExperience in forming teams and developing a culture where the highest of standards are expected and maintainedSound understanding of Building Regulations and NHBC standards.Commercially astute with a strong awareness/experience of working with budgets/constraints and ensuring company targets are achievedExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage people operating within all levels of the business either directly or indirectly employedForward thinking, with the ability to see problems coming before they arise and think strategically to overcome themExperienced in producing plans, estimating budgets and timescales for contractsAbility to work closely within a team or autonomouslyFull UK driving licenceA strong educational background, with minimum GCSE qualifications in Maths and EnglishHigher education studies within the Built EnvironmentBroad commercial experience at an appropriate level within the Timber Frame / Manufacturing sector either operationally or from a managerial perspective.An interest in MMC and Sustainability factors with an awareness of future products/initiativesA strong understanding/awareness of Health & Safety associated with manufacturing, production, logistics, construction, and on-site installationAn understanding of external influences affecting the Timber Frame supply and erect businessA demonstratable history of dealing with any unexpected costs / VOs successfullyA good understanding of manufacturing, production, and logistics processesMore about the Innovation Project Manager role…Assist in the preparation of new innovation trials and schemes and ensure existing projects are performing as per tender documents/pre-start meeting initiativesLiaise with the Technical Innovation Project team, Regions and Vistry Works factories on programmes and schedules, and the coordination of all on-site activities involving InnovationChair/attend pre-order/pre-start meetings and actively engage in discussions regarding items associated with Innovative trials and pilot schemesChair/attend regular meetings with stakeholders from numerous disciplines during the construction phase to ensure works are undertaken to the required H&S and quality standardsDevelop internal processes that improve/enhance operations and continually strive to implement improvements and efficienciesRegular reviewing of build routes/stages/fire assessment plans to ensure manufacturing is undertaken in line with these and any changes are communicated within the business in a timely manner and any subsequent changes are made accordinglyEnsure H&S documentation that affects/relates Innovation works is in place on all outletsWorking in various locations nationally as and when requiredAssisting in developing and training the sub-contract/direct labour levels nationally and as per geographical demandsReporting to the Director of Research and Innovation regarding the day-to-day activities as well as exceptional activities of the Company as appropriateDevelop processes from the lessons learned on trial ready for full scale deploymentResponsible for resolving issues with the installation process and providing feedback to the production and/or design teams to prevent repeat issues, including completing the handover procedureFinally, let’s tell you a bit more about us…We build more than homes, we’re making Vistry.
