FTE Salary: Up to £39,291.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

Actual Salary: Up to £15,928.78

Contract Type: Permanent, Part time

Working Hours: 15 hours per week

We have an exciting role of Lecturer within our Digital team!

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

•Plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements for Level 1 to Level 3 Digital courses.

•Pastoral tutor to Level 2 learners.

•Apply Microsoft 365 applications effectively across teaching and assessment, demonstrating strong proficiency in Excel, Access and Word.

•Utilise advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to support teaching and assessment, including data analysis, automation through macros, advanced functions, and the creation of interactive dashboards and reports.

•Deliver high-quality teaching in web and software development, including HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript and PHP.

•Plan and deliver engaging lessons in web and software development, covering technologies such as HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript and PHP, ensuring learners develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills.

•Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.

•Monitor and record learner attendance, progress and achievement using college systems.

•Prepare learners for assessments, examinations and external verification.

•Maintain accurate course and assessment documentation in line with quality assurance requirements.

•Support learners’ academic and personal development, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

•Embed English, maths, digital skills, equality, diversity and safeguarding within teaching practice.

•Contribute to course review, self assessment and continuous improvement activities.

•Work collaboratively with colleagues and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

•Essential Degree in a Digital Subject

•Desirable Teaching Qualification

•Experience working in further education
