We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our team. This role is unique, offering a mix of workshop-based repairs and on-demand mobile services. You will be responsible for everything from routine maintenance to complex component replacements. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can work independently at a customer's location or as part of a team in the garage.
Key Responsibilities Major Repairs: Confidently perform engine swaps, timing belt/chain replacements, and head gasket repairs. Transmission: Full replacement of clutches and dual-mass flywheels (DMF). Chassis & Safety: Routine and emergency brake services (pads, discs, calipers, and bleeding) and suspension work. Servicing: Carrying out full vehicle inspections, oil/filter changes, and fluid top-ups to manufacturer standards. Diagnostics: Using various OBDII tools to identify faults and reset service indicators. Mobile Response: Attending call-outs to provide high-quality roadside or residential repairs. Requirements & Skills Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a garage or mobile environment. Technical Proficiency: Must be able to complete an engine swap or clutch replacement from start to finish without supervision. Licensing: Full, clean UK Driving License is essential. Equipment: Possession of your own professional-grade tool kit is highly preferred. Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills for mobile call-outs and a high level of reliability.
