HR & Employment Law Expert | Safeguarding Advocate
Our client, a growing technology business, is seeking an experienced and commercially focused HR Director – Europe to join the organisation at board level, reporting directly to the CEO.
Based in Guildford with a hybrid working model, this role will play a key part in scaling the business across Europe, embedding a high-performance, inclusive culture while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and people practices across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a Board member and trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team
* Lead and deliver the European people strategy aligned with business growth and innovation
* Provide strategic oversight of HR operations across multiple European countries
* Ensure compliance with European employment law, governance, and regulatory frameworks
* Drive organisational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy to support growth
* Champion culture, engagement, EDI, wellbeing, and leadership development initiatives
* Lead, develop, and mentor HR teams across Europe
* Oversee reward, performance management, and succession planning
* Use people analytics and insight to influence board-level decisions
About You
* Proven experience at HR Director or senior HR leadership level, ideally within a technology environment
* Experience supporting international growth, scale-up, or transformation
* Strong knowledge of European employment legislation and cultural complexity
* Commercially astute with the ability to influence and challenge at CEO and board level
* Comfortable operating in fast-paced, agile, tech-led organisations
* CIPD Level 7 or equivalent (highly desirable)
