We're recruiting an Administration Assistant (Business Service Officer) to work in our Derby office. You will support local Family Court Advisers and Service Managers by managing case records, communicating with families and handling administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
* Monitor case progression
* Receive referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team
* Create, update and close cases within our case management system
* Send letters and information packs to children and families
* Identify missing information and follow‑up as required
* Respond to telephone enquiries
* Meet and greet visitors, including children and families
* Provide general admin support
* Complete office health and safety checks, including first aid and fire marshal duties (training provided)
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in business administration (e.g., NVQ Level 2) or intention to gain one, plus relevant experience
* Basic to intermediate competence in MS Office applications
* Clear, confident communication via email, phone and in‑person
* Team‑player who thrives in a collaborative environment
* Ability to prioritise work in a fast‑moving, deadline‑driven environment
