Job Description
To undertake generally as part of a team the maintenance and construction of roads and footways
Requirements
* Signing and guarding of works
* Drainage and kerbing works
* Preparation and laying of coated and uncoated materials
* Fixing/dismantling Street Furniture
* Driving of vehicles and plant
* Participate in the Delivery of the Winter Service and response to other emergencies
* Operation of Power Tools
* General Support of Specialist Operatives
* Meeting Health & Safety Requirements
The Individual
* Experience of outdoor manual work
* Understanding of Health and Safety Requirements
* Current Driving Licence
* Prepared to work towards acquiring an LGV licence
* Satisfy DVLA criteria to obtain LGV licence
* Must be able to keep basic records
* Willing to work outside in all weather
* Flexible attitude and ability to work as a member of a team
* This job requires a high level of applied physical effort.
* Must be willing to participate in the Winter and Summer Out of Hours Rota
* Must be prepared to work overtime as required
