Already working in Telecoms but looking to work for the client on a full fibre network, a role that will support you with a training pathway that will include external sector accredited courses on underground and overhead PIA, NRSWA, etc, as well as internal training on the Gigaclear network, fibre splicing and testing?
A starting salary of £28,000 to £32,000 dependent upon experience and current qualifications / accreditations.
Key Accountability & Responsibilities
* Delivery of the allocated Break Fix schedules, working with stakeholders to deliver on time, safely and to standard.
* Break Fix could include traditional underground/buried network, as well as PIA overhead and underground issues and fixes.
* Service repair on PIA PON network communities.
* Initial first response to Gigaclear’s overhead poles to assess and provide feedback for contractor instruction.
* Fibre splicing and testing.
* Responsibility for own and team assurance across quality and Health & Safety standards.
Knowledge & Experience
* A background in Civils, Fibre and / or Telecoms, ideally fibre optic networks (FTTH / FTTP).
* Previous experience of installations, fault fix, repair and / or maintenance.
* Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and fault fix network issues.
* Previous knowledge and experience of field Civils specifications desirable – e.g. NRSWA.
* Ability to understand, interpret and adhere to risk & method assessments.
Qualifications & Accreditations
* Full driving licence (manual), held for 12 months+.
* DBS check (or ability to pass).
* Ideally already hold a NRSWA Operative accreditation.
