Job Description:
We are a unique, small, rural 11-16 academy in North-West Worcestershire. Our pupils are happy, well-behaved, and proud of their school. The academy values moral purpose, with the child at the center of all we do. We invest in our pupils and staff to ensure everyone is supported to be their best.
We seek an organised, resilient, and committed Pupil Support Officer to start in September. The role is within our support staff team and will be line managed by the Senior Leader responsible for Attendance and Behaviour. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing an inclusive experience for pupils.
The post involves supporting pupils requiring bespoke and targeted behaviour support. THOA is inclusive and community-focused, working hard to support pupils in accessing a broad curriculum. When barriers arise, the postholder will collaborate with pupils, teachers, and families to overcome these barriers through various interventions, helping pupils get back on track and achieve highly.
You will work with some of our most vulnerable pupils, helping them navigate personal difficulties. A positive mindset and belief in pupils' potential are essential. Training and support will be provided based on your experience and skills.
We encourage candidates to visit the academy, tour the facilities, meet staff and pupils, and explore our website and Facebook page. For questions or to arrange a tour, contact Christine Sheppard.
To apply, complete and return the application form on mynewterm. The deadline is Monday, 2nd June 2025. Interviews will be scheduled for the following week.
