Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish, while also collaborating with other tradespeople on site to achieve high-quality results. This role will also involve other building works such as basic carpentry, some general building and site organising etc, applicants would be expected to undertake these tasks as well as plastering works.
Responsibilities
* Boarding and prepping for plasterwork
* Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning and applying bonding agents as necessary.
* Mix plaster to the correct consistency and apply it to walls and ceilings using appropriate techniques.
* Ensure that all plasterwork is smooth, level, and free from imperfections.
* Repair any damaged plasterwork as required, ensuring a seamless finish.
* Collaborate with team to integrate plastering with other construction elements.
* Undertake other general building tasks as required, this will be expected of the applicant - these including basic carpentry, site works etc.
* Follow health and safety regulations on site to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
* Plastering experience is necessary
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and scrapers.
* Own tools.
* Basic carpentry skills, after an all-round trades person with a keen eye for plastering
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is required
