Are you a hands-on engineer seeking a challenging and varied role?
Our client, a leading provider of electro-mechanical services, is seeking a Site Service Engineer to join their team in Cheddar. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site with clients across multiple industries, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and servicing of rotating equipment.
The role is commutable from Cheddar, Draycott, Axbridge, Wedmore, Badgworth, and Winscombe.
The Role - Field Service Engineer:
As a Site Service Engineer, you will be a key part of the team, providing technical expertise and ensuring equipment runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing on-site repairs, maintenance, and servicing of motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out both mechanical and electrical repairs.
Working closely with customers to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
Assisting with installations, removals, and commissioning of new equipment.
Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all work adheres to health and safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required - Field Service Engineer:
Proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally in a field-based role.
Repair or maintenance experience with motors, pumps, gearboxes and fans.
Lives within a commutable distance of Cheddar site when needed
Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently on-site.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Proactive problem-solving attitude with excellent customer service skills.
The Package - Field Service Engineer:
Salary £38,000-£40,000 per annum
Day shifts 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday (40-hour week)
Overtime and on-call work opportunities (OTE £50k+)
Company Van & fuel card provided
31-days holiday (including bank holidays)
