The opportunity: We are looking for a Paralegal to join our highly-regarded Intellectual Property team at Baker McKenzie, Belfast. The successful applicant will support the Firm's Intellectual Property practice with IP prosecution, maintenance, and transactional work in a deadline-driven environment. You will work on developing IP portfolios of worldwide clients, requiring a global mindset and coordination with international teams, counsel, and clients.

Main Responsibilities
* Support global IP matters: handling trade mark formalities, managing operational issues, and preparing client reports.
* Assist with IP M&A activities: recordals, drafting legal documents, liaising with local counsel, and managing schedules.
* Conduct IP asset due diligence using official registries and databases.
* Support anti-counterfeiting programs: drafting guides, seizure notifications, liaising with infringers.
* Perform trade mark searches and monitoring services.
* Develop expertise to support lawyers and clients effectively.
* Follow firm procedures, meet service standards, and manage deadlines proactively.
Essential Criteria
* Relevant undergraduate degree with 2.1 or above (preferred).
* Legal background with IP/trademark experience (preferred).
* Authorization to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
* CITMA qualification (advantageous).

* High attention to detail, organization, and proactive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
* Clear communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
