Position Overview As a Senior Systems Installation & Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of security system installations. Working closely with the project manager and engineering teams, you will coordinate onsite trades, align security dependencies, and deliver a first-class commissioning experience for clients. Responsibilities Assist the project manager with onsite trades, ensuring security dependencies are aligned for successful project commissioning Communicate effectively with engineering teams, clients, and project teams to deliver a first-class commissioning experience Problem-solve and discuss project commissioning requirements with engineers Conduct in-depth testing and troubleshooting of access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, CCTV, and IP network systems Program physical security systems and perform system setup on large installations Support engineers on minor installations and perform benchtop programming of security equipment pre-installation Complete project testing/commissioning sheets and coordinate engineers in the commissioning process Follow assigned projects to final adjustments, testing, troubleshooting, and rectification Train users on installed security systems and coordinate installation commissioning teams Provide regular status reports to the Project Manager and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Requirements Minimum of 4 years of industry experience in security installations, servicing, or design Previous experience working in a security systems and commissioning engineer role Demonstrated ability in commissioning or working with access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, and door entry systems Experience in integrating systems and familiarity with installations to NSI standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organised, detail-oriented, and strong time-management abilities Proficient in IT literacy, MS Office, and ideally MS Project Good understanding of networking (e.g., Cisco, TCP/IP, routing, switching) Proven problem-solving ability, can-do attitude, and aptitude for learning new systems Full UK car driving license Company Overview Our client is a well-established commercial security systems company that has built a strong reputation for excellence throughout the UK and globally.
