Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of a comprehensive and engaging Maths curriculum across all year groups (potentially including Pre-Prep, Prep, Seniors, and Sixth Form). Lead a team of dedicated Maths teachers, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for exploration in Mathematics. Contribute significantly to curriculum development, ensuring it aligns with national standards and best practices in Mathematics education. Play a key role in the recruitment, selection, and performance management of Maths teachers. Actively participate in the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues across different departments. Qualifications and Experience: A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong specialism in Mathematics (Leadership experience preferred). A minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience in a secondary or independent school setting, with demonstrably strong leadership qualities. Excellent subject knowledge and a proven track record of raising standards in Mathematics. Strong strategic vision and the ability to translate this vision into a successful departmental plan.
