About the role:
As our Clinical Services Manager, you will beresponsible for recruiting, supporting and managing our team of 80 freelance/trainee counsellors and supervisors. You’ll provide leadership and oversight of our counselling services ensuring effective delivery, high standards of ethical and professional practice, and maintaining a high-quality placement experience for trainees. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you'll play a key strategic role too, working closely with our CEO and trustees to enhance and evolve WCC’s clinical services.

For 30 years, Waterloo Community Counselling (WCC) has been delivering life-changing counselling and community mental health support for Londoners that is affordable and accessible. We are one of only a handful of Low-Cost Counselling services offering weekly therapy at reduced fees, or for free, for diverse adults from all walks of life. Our unique Multilingual Counselling Service provides free counselling in 23 languages without interpreters to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants. Each year, we provide a vital lifeline to hundreds of people – removing the linguistic, cultural and financial barriers to counselling for many who would otherwise go without the right support that meets their needs.

About you:
Based within easy commuting distance of our Waterloo office, our ideal candidate will be a counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor, with:
* A high level of clinical competence and experience of inclusive, intercultural practice with diverse clients
* Good leadership skills with a proactive approach to managing clinical challenges and evolving the organisation’s clinical services
* Strong knowledge of Safeguarding and Clinical Risk Management
* Flexible, hybrid working (the role requires 3 days a week in the office, with the possibility of working 1 day from home)
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated)
