The Asset Finance Sales team sits within the wider Specialist Commercial Banking Sales business, we support Relationship Managed SME businesses across the UK. We sit in the Business and Commercial Banking channel Commercial Banking Coverage (CBC). You will receive enquiries from SME and Non-Banked clients either via Bank network of colleagues or direct and will be expected to discuss potential Hire Purchase & Leasing solutions for customers or prospects considering purchasing business assets.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Both Proactive and Reactive Telephony and written contact with customers.
2. Agree and deliver Asset Finance solutions and generate new opportunities by managing relationships with customers (small and medium sized companies)
3. Support Field Based colleagues in the execution of their transactions and multi hirers
4. Proactively seek and drive new income streams via self-origination and working in collaboration with the wider CBC teams
5. Adherence to risk parameters and risk assesses each opportunity against a low touch ‘criteria based acceptance’ model and has authority to agree within limit
6. Assesses financial accounts in preparation of a manual submission into our underwriting team
7. Track the overall progress of deals, and pursue your own pipeline of opportunities, from the leads provided, through to the delivery of a successful client needs met.

Essential skills and experience:
9. A consistent track record within a proactive sales environment.
10. Telephony experience welcomed
11. Excellent relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills to agree the best financial solution for the customer
12. Strong team player and can do attitude
13. A genuine passion for helping our clients and helping their business grow.
14. Attention to detail and ability to follow a structured sales and compliance process
15. Adherence to regulatory/compliance standards – demonstrating fair and well evidenced customer outcomes that are tailored to the needs of the business

Desirable skills and experience:
16. Understanding of financial accounts.
17. Background in Banking/Financial Services.
18. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, client facing role.
19. You'll need to show a real passion for developing new relationships and uncovering future business opportunities.
20. Working under a fast paced environment juggling conflicting priorities and closing feedback loops
