About the role
1:1 Tutor
Chester
£30 per hour (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Novembe 2025 start
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and qualified 1:1 Tutor to support secondary-aged students in the Chester area who require additional help accessing education.
This is a rewarding and flexible opportunity, perfect for experienced teachers or skilled tutors who work well independently and can provide tailored Maths and English sessions to meet individual learning needs. The focus is on helping students achieve their academic goals through personalised instruction.
The ideal tutor must be able to build positive, supportive relationships to boost student confidence and engagement and adapt lessons to suit each student’s learning style and specific educational needs.
Requirements:
1. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, BA Ed etc.)
2. Experience working with SEND pupils
3. Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum
4. Commitment to regular, scheduled tutoring sessions
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. A proactive, flexible, and learner-centred teaching style
