About the Company:
Europa School of English runs fun and entertaining summer camps for European students visiting the UK on language holidays. UK Centres for 2025 include Bournemouth, Exeter, Winchester, Southend-on-Sea, Bishop's Stortford. Students aged 11-17 stay in residential accommodation and participate in lessons and activities.
Job description:
The role of an EFL teacher involves immersing yourself in the student experience, conducting English lessons in the mornings. Ensuring well-being and supervision of students is essential, following company policies and high standards set by the British Council.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 weeks’ availability (preferably more) during specific dates in summer 2025.
* Currently living or eligible to work in the UK.
* University degree and a level 5 (Ofqual accredited) TEFL qualification, preferably CELTA or TRINITY.
* Experience with teenagers, ability to motivate and lead.
* Good organisational and time-management skills.
* Two up-to-date references.
* Participation in Safeguarding training (provided).
* DBS certificate or police clearance (not older than 1 year), paid by us if needed.
Responsibilities:
* Teach English following our syllabus (4 lessons daily, Monday to Friday).
* Prepare classes for different levels and manage groups effectively.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons using provided materials.
* Keep accurate records of lessons.
* Manage attendance via online system.
* Attend online induction and training sessions.
* Participate in weekly teacher meetings and observations.
* Engage in professional development sessions.
* Familiarise with safeguarding and welfare policies.
* Evaluate students' language progress and advise on self-improvement.
* Reflect on the syllabus for development.
* Address student issues promptly and report to the Coordinator.
Remuneration:
* £17.59/hour for contact lessons.
* £12.21/hour for admin tasks.
* Estimated weekly pay around £315.74.
* Travel expenses may be reimbursed.
