The Strategic Account Director (m/f/d) – European Data Center Sales is responsible for leading key customer relationships and driving commercial growth across all Danfoss product lines within the European data center market. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships with colocation providers, cloud service providers, design and engineering firms, and general contractors to support the adoption of advanced energy and thermal management solutions.
The position plays a central role in coordinating regional sales efforts, collaborating with local account teams, and aligning business development activities with broader European and global strategies. The Strategic Account Director also leads the planning and execution of marketing initiatives and industry event participation across the region.
The position can be located in London, Paris or Frankfurt as preferred locations but position holder must be located in Europe for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll
• Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with leading colocation operators, general contractors, design firms, and cloud service providers across Europe.
• Promote Danfoss thermal and power management solutions by influencing early-stage project design, embedding products into specifications, and aligning customer needs with the Danfoss portfolio.
• Collaborate with Danfoss system and technology team and align customer needs developing unique product solutions that support ongoing decarbonization and improve energy and water usage efficiency.
• Own the development and execution of the full EMEA data center sales strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
• Lead and support Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) across the region, providing guidance on opportunity pipeline, key account development, and project execution.
• Support the European data center event strategy and partner with regional marketing teams to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and lead follow-up processes.
What We're Looking For
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related discipline
2. Minimum five years of commercial HVAC/R industry experience, preferably emphasis on data center infrastructure, cooling, and electronics thermal management.
3. First management experience is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge and network of Data Center stakeholders (consultants, integrators, large end-users) preferred.
5. Business fluent English skills, every other language is a plus.
6. Project management skills and experience managing a variety of different priorities.
