Role Summary
The Private Credit Investment Professional will play a pivotal role in sourcing, underwriting, executing, and monitoring private credit transactions within the firm’s credit strategy. This person will work closely with the broader investment team to bridge the gap between debt and growth equity, providing non-dilutive capital solutions to technology-enabled and scalable companies that may not fit traditional lending criteria.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Origination & Execution
* Source and evaluate private credit investment opportunities across targeted sectors, including tech-enabled businesses, industrials, software, and financing solutions
* Conduct credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment to evaluate business fundamentals, cash flow profiles, capital structures, and repayment capacity
* Prepare investment memos and risk/return analyses for review by senior investment professionals and the Investment Committee
* Support term-sheet negotiation, deal structuring, covenant design, and documentation in coordination with legal and external advisors
Due Diligence
* Lead and coordinate thorough due diligence processes, including commercial, financial, legal, and operational reviews
* Engage with founders, management teams, sponsors, and intermediaries throughout the diligence cycle
Portfolio Management
* Monitor existing credits for financial performance, covenant compliance, and early warning signals
* Prepare regular portfolio credit reviews, risk dashboards, and performance updates for internal stakeholders
* Assist with amendment, restructuring, and workout strategies where appropriate
Market Intelligence & Strategy
* Track developments in private credit markets, regulatory shifts, competitor activity, and macroeconomic trends affecting credit availability and valuations
* Contribute to firm-wide strategy discussions on credit product offerings, sector focus, and risk frameworks
Candidate Profile
Experience
* 3–7+ years of experience in private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, credit investment, structured credit, investment banking, or related areas
* Experience with tech-enabled or growth-oriented businesses is a strong advantage
* Past exposure to sponsor interactions and cross-border financings is valuable
Technical Skills
* Advanced financial modeling and credit risk analysis
* Strong understanding of capital structures, debt instruments, covenants, and documentation
* Excellent writing and presentation abilities to articulate credit rationale and investment opportunities
Education & Credentials
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
* CFA, CPA, or advanced degree (MBA / Master’s) is a plus
