PA required in Pudsey (Leeds) to support a man with accessing leisure & social activities

Hours Per Week: 5 to 10 hours per week (to be arranged between us)
Hourly rate: £12.40 p/h (gross) weekday; £15.44 p/h (gross) weekend
Location: In the local community
We are seeking a PA for our 46-year-old son, who has mild learning disabilities. We would like an outgoing personality that could motivate him to try new activities. A car driver is needed; he has a car that can be used if required. A shared interest in music, art, tropical fish, and walking would be beneficial but not essential.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and conscientious with a good sense of humour. You should be friendly, approachable, sensitive, flexible, and fun!
What are the duties?
* Support to source and access interests and hobbies
* Support in accessing the community for fun activities, including attending any groups that he will be interested in
* Support making and meeting new friends
* Support to motivate him when feeling low
* Support learning new domestic skills (cooking)
* Supporting the learning of new skills
Requirements:
* An understanding and previous experience with people with learning disabilities
* Flexibility towards planned activities
* Full clean driving licence
* A Full DBS check will be required. Any relevant experience will be considered if the skills can be applied to this role
