Hand Picked Hotels was founded in 2001 by owner and Chairman, Julia Hands MBE. While each hotel is individual, every property fulfils the company values of family, individuality, community and care, ensuring a hand‑picked experience for every guest and employee.


Position: Sales and Events Executive

Woodlands Park Hotel is a stunning country house hotel set in landscaped grounds and gardens, making it one of Surrey’s most spectacular countryside wedding venues. It is an AA awarded 4‑Star Hotel with 57 bedrooms, a 2‑AA Rosette fine dining restaurant, conference and event function rooms, and a bar.

The role of Sales & Events Executive will involve dealing with event enquiries and converting them to sales, following through to hand‑over to operations, ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail is delivered. As a sales‑focused professional you will make recommendations that meet the needs of clients and their budgets. Whether it’s a wedding, private dinner or a big birthday bash, you will take the reins and help to plan the event, delivering memorable experiences with an individual bespoke approach. You will maintain a safe, healthy and secure workplace environment, follow all work protocols, and work with the team to deliver departmental goals. You will build positive relationships with everyone you meet, inspiring confidence in your knowledge and event‑organisation abilities from the very first conversation. Responsibilities

* Deal with event enquiries and convert them to sales.
* Recommend solutions that meet client needs and budgets.
* Plan and deliver events (weddings, private dinners, birthdays) with a bespoke approach.
* Ensure smooth hand‑over to operations and maintain high service standards.
* Maintain a safe, healthy and secure workplace environment.
* Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering confidence in your knowledge and event‑organisation abilities.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in an event‑coordination role, ideally within a 4/5‑star luxury hotel.
* Interest in weddings, events and conferences, with knowledge of current market trends.
* Self‑reliant and able to act on your own initiative.
* Working knowledge of Opera preferred but not essential.
* Methodical, highly organised, and systematic approach to work.
* Ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner.
* Professional, organised and friendly approach; able to anticipate guest needs and create memories.
