This is a unique opportunity to work across two service areas within the Department of Neuropsychology at Northern Care Alliance.
Role Overview
The role involves three days a week focused on MND psychological care pathways, working across Greater Manchester with other professionals on the project. This mainly involves service development and research activities.
An additional 1.5 days per week will be dedicated to the NEAD service at Salford Royal, providing group work and patient contact opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Understanding and developing psychological pathways for individuals with MND, their families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
* Attending the MND clinic at Salford Royal once a week.
* Conducting interviews at patients' homes as the project progresses, and collating and presenting information effectively.
* Supporting the NEAD service by triage calls and delivering psychoeducation groups.
* Supporting team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
* Maintaining excellent database skills for data management.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have research experience and a passion for understanding MND. The role requires autonomous, focused work alongside a project facilitator and a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.
