Technical Sales Engineer – CNC / Tooling / Manufacturing
Derbyshire (Hybrid / Field-Based)
I’m currently working on a Technical Sales Engineer role with a client focused on improving efficiency within CNC manufacturing environments.
This is not a typical sales role. It’s a consultative position working with manufacturers to improve processes, reduce downtime and get more from their tooling.
You’ll be speaking with machinists, production teams and engineers day to day, so a strong understanding of how parts are made and how machines run is key.
The role
* Working with manufacturers to improve machining efficiency and reduce downtime
* Supporting customers with tooling, presetting and process optimisation
* Visiting customer sites and building long-term relationships
* Delivering a consultative, solution-led approach rather than product selling
* Managing a mix of existing accounts and new business
What they’re looking for
* Background in CNC machining, tooling, or manufacturing engineering
* OR experience in technical sales within machining / tooling environments
* Good understanding of shopfloor processes and production challenges
* Confident speaking with engineers and machinists
* Someone who enjoys solving problems and adding value
