This role involves preparing and cooking pre-ordered meals, ensuring consistency, presentation, and food safety standards are met. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth kitchen operations while supporting a modern, technology-driven service model.What you'll do:Prepare, cook, and present a variety of food items in line with recipe cards and cooking methodsManage and fulfil all ordersEnsure food is prepared quickly and accurately to meet service time targetsMonitor stock levels, rotate ingredients, and ensure proper storage following food safety regulationsMaintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and food preparation areasFollow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP proceduresMinimise food waste and control portion sizes to maintain cost efficiencyAssist with deliveries, checking quality and storing stock correctlyWork collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serviceMaintain kitchen equipment and report faults or maintenance issues promptlyWhat we're looking for:Essential:Experience in a similar role within the service industry at a comparable levelOne of the following qualifications (or equivalent):BSc (Catering)MHCIMHNDCity & Guilds 706/1 and 2NVQ Level 2 or 3Knowledge of health and safety regulationsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standards preciselyDesirable:Experience working within a military environmentIOSH qualification (or equivalent)Experience in a customer-facing roleCIEH Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)What we offer:Join Sodexo for more than just a job—be part of something bigger.
