HOURS: Full-time

About this opportunity
We’relooking for an experienced Conversation Designer to help build the future of Conversational Banking at Lloyds Banking Group.
You’llbring deepexpertisein human-centred design and conversational AI, confidently driving an experience-led approach as we build natural, effective interactions for our customers.You’llthrive on both the detail and the big picture - zooming in to compose outstanding conversations and zooming out to influence strategy and direction.
As a member of our fast-paced Agentic AI team,you’llcombine research and insights to apply conversation principles to generative AI products. You'll develop interactions that feel natural, effective, and aligned with our tone of voice.You’lllead the conversation direction within the team and manage relationships with various collaborators.
You’llembrace ambiguity, have an experimental approach, and a desire to test, learn, and iterate fast.
You’llbe comfortable giving and receiving feedback to key internal customers across the business and will work closely with product teams to build success metrics.
Whatyou’lldo be doing
1. Collaborate with your fellow designers and use yourexpertiseto help build the overall design approach and user experience.
2. Use evidence to inform decisions and champion the user perspective.
3. Take ownership as the conversation and content build expert in an agile environment. Advocate for Conversation Build across product teams, improve ways of working, and mentor others in the field.
4. Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product owners to deliver seamless experiences.
5. Think strategically about how our conversations can evolve. Spot opportunities to connect them with other experiences. Communicate clearly with collaborators, manage expectations, and include multiple perspectives.
6. Facilitate workshops and discussions to ensure business context, needs, and risks are understood.
7. Promote anddemonstratehow effective writing helps users (whether colleague or customer).
8. Guide others to make sound building decisions and challenge constraints.
9. Take ownership of your own development and help guide others in conversation building through coaching and mentoring.
10. Be an active member of the design community, sharing knowledge and embedding development principles across products and services.

Your experience and skills
15. Strong experience crafting conversational interfaces, with confidence in generative AI and agentic design.
16. Deep understanding of how conversation works and how to apply it in AI.
17. Curiosity to learn, share, and bringnew ideasfrom the broader conversational AI community.
18. Innovative problem-solving skills and ability to encourage collaboration.
19. Outstanding communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
20. Expertisein building thinking and facilitation.
21. The ability to influence and manage multiple collaborators across product, risk, legal and branding teams.
22. A collaborative approach ready to be a part of a busy multi-disciplinary team.
And any experience of these would be great
23. Familiarity working in a complex landscape – ideally financial services.
24. Experience using and collaborating in Build platforms, such as Figma.
