Develop your skills by working on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. This will be a 2-year apprenticeship where you will be put onto the Level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. As a Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprentice, you will play an integral role in a team that is vital for the efficient functioning and profitability of any organisation. You will learn how a Supply Chain Department functions, including the selection and qualification of vendors, issuing RFQs, the creation and life cycle management of purchase orders and reviewing quality documentation. Your daily work will involve keeping systems accurate, processes efficient and supply chain activities running smoothly.You will undertake work-based training in your department while studying for your Level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship which will consist of weekly interactive learning sessions with a CIPS trainer and monthly one-to-one coaching with an experienced procurement coach. You will also work towards a professional qualification with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). How You'll Make an Impact
1. Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support supply chain management.
2. Create & manage direct and indirect purchase orders within a SAP ERP system
3. Manage purchase order from placement to delivery, carrying out expediting and resolving any delivery and invoice queries
4. Liaise with Engineering & Project colleagues to resolve technical/product issues
5. Support the qualification and on-boarding of suppliers & maintaining vendor records
6. Proactively manage and resolve day-to-day supply chain issues.

7. You should have achieved or be on track to achieve GCSEs at grade 5 or above in Maths, English and an engineering or business-related subject.
