To providecredit risk analysis expertise to the Wholesale Banking Europe teamin support of the Banks commercial activity in all product linesand with all types ofcounterparty.

Closesupport to be provided to the business in order to evaluate andassess all types of risk (both financial and nonfinancial) towardsthe development of new corporate client relationships. Adherence toRisk Management policy and regulatory requirements. Close liaisonwith Risk Legal and Compliance in the fulfilment of duties.
The team operates in a challenging andpressurized environment in the middle of the WBE team. Requestsfrom Relationship Managers often working within short timeframeswith established external deadlines for approval. The Senior CreditAnalyst holds detailed knowledge of the banks Credit Risk Policiesand Procedures and will from timetotime question internalrequirements with the relevant stakeholders if the proposal doesnot fit the banks risk appetite/creditpolicies.
ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities &Deliverables
To undertake in atimely manner the preparation and submission of Credit Applications(CAFs) for new business proposals and annual reviews assisting andadvising as required other Department members involved in such CAFpreparations.
* To undertake indepthfinancial analysis of inter alia balance sheet profit &loss and cash flow statements in support of CAF presentations inline with best practices fully liaising where necessary withRelationship Managers Product Managers etc to ensure adequateinformation flows.
* Toaccess as required external information sources and appropriateresearch databases in support of CAFpresentations.
* Inconjunction with Relationship Managers and others to undertakeclient visits and attend client calls and meetings as required forthe purposes of information gathering andmonitoring.
* To monitorcurrent developments which may affect the Banks customers andrecommend appropriate action ifnecessary.
* To comply withthe Banks internal risk management policies (including Group CreditPolicy) and procedures and general standards ofoperations.
* To liaise withRisk Management and other Bank departments as and whennecessary.
* To comply withall relevant external legal regulatory and reportingrequirements.
* To providementoring training and guidance to team members as and whennecessary.
To support the Head ofClient Credit Management in respect of the team and in adhocriskrelated special tasks andprojects.
Knowledge
* Detailedunderstanding of credit analysis (corporates banks NBFIsetc)
* Understanding of risks (financial andnonfinancial) covering various industries (not limited to oil& gas manufacturing real estate etc.)
* Detailed understanding of the Banks internalprocesses policies and procedures
* Awareness forand interest in international politics andeconomics
Experience
* Minimumthree years corporate credit analysisexperience
* Experience of projections andfinancial modelling an advantage
* Experience oftrade finance products anadvantage
